Docking Eye

The Docking Eye consists of a sensor unit which is mounted in a protected position beneath the dock leveller. This sensor unit controls outside traffic lights which in turn indicate the truck driver the distance to the ramp in five distance steps.
During the docking process the traffic lights switch from green to yellow and then to red. With the red light the lorry has reached its exact docking position.
